It has been a jam packed first week at Edinburgh Fringe for our team.
Here are some of the highlights in pictures, and shows we recommend checking out if you are able.

Photo 1: Our Administration Coordinator Ed and Access Coordinator Denise touching down in Edinburgh and enjoying a refreshing Iron Bru. When in Edinburgh…

Photo 2: We met Lyndsey McLean, Access & Engagement Manager for Edinburgh Fringe Festival, pictured here with two BSL interpreters who were at street performances happening that day. More there are more street performances to enjoy at West Parliament Square with BSL interpretation on Saturday 16th and Thursday 21st August.

Photo 3: We got to see the plans for the new Fringe Hub Central due to open next year which is looking to be a really accessible space. Kirsty and Martha from the Arts Industry Services team visited DDFI40 joining us in our Bluecoat hub to chat, answer questions and go through the plans earlier this year, so it was great to see the development in person.

Photo 4: We held our first drop in at the Festival Hub. Denise and Ed from our team were pictured with BSL interpreter Paul Belmonte. We have another drop in coming up on 20th August. More details here: https://www.dadafest.co.uk/event/dada-drop-in-at-edinburgh-festival-fringe

Photo 5: We bumped into the wonderful Anthony Gough outside ZOO Southside, who is working with Extant on their Enhance programme. We were able to experience a touch tour that he has put together with the company 'I Think It Could Work'.
Show Recommendations
I dream in Colour
We enjoyed ‘I Dream in Colour’, a semi-autobiographical one-woman show from Jasmine Thien; a fully blind writer, poet and comedian which is still open for bookings.

The Limerence
Not to be missed is the very dark and refreshing humour of Lizzie Lenco. Would recommend Lizzie’s show ‘The Limerence’ showing at 3.45pm at BrewDog Dog House Hotel, 5 New Street EH8 8BH.

Dregs
'Dregs' was beautiful story, a modern take on the selkie myth. Completely creatively integrated performance (BSL and voiced performances by the 2 cast members). A story of love, loss, and the quest for home; told gently with humour and strong emotion. Recommended.

Big Little Sister
Our team were lucky enough to catch up with Holly Gifford after seeing her brilliant show 'Big Little Sister'. Highly recommended! Catch it each day at 10.35am at ZOO Playground. https://www.edfringe.com/tickets/whats-on/big-little-sister
