DaDa is pleased to announce we have successfully secured funding from Youth Music Trailblazer funds along with PH Holt Foundation to support our young ensemble project throughout 2026.
Delivered with specialist partners, the programme brings much-needed inclusive music sessions to the city region and showcases what young disabled musicians can achieve.
The ensemble project builds on similar work DaDa has delivered for more than a decade, producing artists like Joshua Henderson who launched his debut album ‘Songs for Liverpool with Friends’ in June of 2024, seeing it stocked by HMV Liverpool last year.
Over the lifetime of the project, DaDa and our specialist music practitioners will work with young disabled people from Liverpool City Region aged 14-25, to hone their artistry.
Our first ensemble group will be starting this spring working on performance skills, with our final ensemble group working towards the sharing of fresh composition work later in the year.

Executive Producer Rachel Rogers said:
“We are thrilled that Youth Music and PH Holt Foundation have seen the unique opportunity our ensemble project presents.
There is a real gap in local music provision for disabled young people looking for regular, inclusive music development offered in an accessible environment.
Across 10 years of running ensemble projects, we have seen what a real difference it makes, not only to the musicianship of the young people, but to their overall well-being and ambition.
The project creates space for mentoring young people that really works. We’ve seen it with artists like Josh, and our young music leader Thomas who are both continuing to develop in their practice. It is really exciting to see, and we are looking forward to meeting out next group of young musicians who we know will delight and surprise us all over again.”
This project is delivered thanks to support from Youth Music, PH Foundation, Liverpool City Council and Arts Council England.
