Board Members and Advisors

We work closely with our Board of Trustees who meet regularly to advise and support the organisation. A variety of skills and experience allows the Board to bring expertise to the organisation in fields such as legal, fundraising and marketing.

Advisors also contribute to the ongoing development and direction of DaDa.

The majority of our Trustees are disabled, Deaf or neurodivergent. The Board includes characteristics based on sexuality and race within its diverse make-up.

Patrons

We have some fantastic patrons on board to support our vision to inspire, develop and celebrate talent and excellence in disability arts. Find out more about them below.

Volunteers

Young Leaders

We love being able to support DaDaFest Young Leaders through our programmes. We’re lucky to work with a variety of talented young people. From project managing festivals to working with designers on flyers and brochures, their contribution to DaDaFest is invaluable.

Collective / Organisation

DaDa x NSDF Company

Meet the DaDa x NSDF Company Members!

Find out more about our company of disabled, Deaf and neurodivergent artists, aged 16-26, who have come together to create a piece of new and exciting work to be premiered at NSDF 2022 and then presented as part of DDFI 2022.

DaDa Fellows

We have expressed our commitment to providing space for the incubation of ideas, to create high-quality work, and inspire the next generation of disabled, Deaf and neurodivergent leaders to be change-makers in the cultural tapestry of the arts.

As part of this, eight artists have been offered a creative development bursary to enhance their creative practice, build their confidence, develop the skills to drive change for disabled people in the arts and our communities. Being a DaDa Fellow provides the opportunity to try their ideas, to develop as an artist and become part of DaDaFest International.

These eight artists were selected for their passion for social justice and each has already shown how they have creatively made improvements to spaces, places, or relationships to advance the cause of equality.

Please say hello to our DaDa Fellows:

Pen Pals

Pen Pals is funded by the British Council’s International Collaboration grants and is a cross-cultural and cross art-form project brings together disabled artists associated with 3 International disability arts festivals - DaDaFest International in the UK, Jogja Disability Arts in Indonesia and Potters Bar Gallery in Nigeria. The project offers opportunities for artists to share their work and practice with others and to find out more about how artists in different locations navigate creating work as disabled artists. Disabled UK artists Deborah Ajia (London), Helen Hall (Belfast) and Shaun Fallows (Wigan) will join three artists from Nigeria and three from Indonesia in a long term correspondence project that aims to break down barriers, develop understanding and lead to developing long term connections.
