Robert Martin

Board Members and Advisors

Rob is a white haired man in his mid 50s with a grey beard

What is your role at DaDa?
I'm the Chair of the DaDa Board. I also provide support to the organisation as a Marketing Consultant. This is mainly strategic marketing with a long-term view. As a person with autism, I bring some awareness of neurodiversity to the Board.

What does that mean?
As the organisation's Chair, I am jointly responsible for the financial and organisational wellbeing of DaDa. This includes recruitment at senior level, long-term planning and future development, and ensuring that the DaDa team is fully supported and happy in their work.

As a Marketing Consultant at robmartinmarketing.com I work primarily within arts, culture and tourism, specialising in digital. Before going freelance, my background included work with Manchester International Festival, The Lowry and Visit Britain, amongst many others, and I edited the influential Time Out guides to both Manchester and Leeds for two years. For DaDa I am able to support such things as website development and access, budget planning, plus general support for the marketing of the organisation.

What do you like to do outside of work?
Hobbies wise, I love photography and travel, which is a good combination. I'm a keen writer with two books, 'Joe and Dusty Save the World' and 'Back Stories' which is out soon.

I live in Salford with my husband, 2 dogs and a cat.
