Join us for the launch of DaDaFest Scratch 21 at Unity Theatre!

Scratch is a festival of embryonic ideas developed at DaDa’s Artist Incubation Hub of DaDa Incubate and DaDa Academy by a new generation of genre-smashing disabled, Deaf and neurodivergent artists, musicians, creatives and theatre-makers.

DaDa will be kicking things off with a series of events at Unity Theatre, starting with an evening celebrating the work of  disabled, Deaf and neurodivergent artists, including a Q&A with featured artists, Amina Atiq and Chris Shapiro.

Amina Atiq is a Yemeni-scouse published poet, award-winning community activist and performance artist. Her collection of work, ‘'The Third House',  is featured on DaDaFest Scratch 21’s digital programme and will be available here from 22 November..

Chris Shapiro is an artist, writer and audio maker whose game/theatre piece is premiering online as part of DaDaFest Scratch 21. Experience it here from 22 November.

DaDaFest Scratch 21 runs from 4 - 28 November in venues throughout Liverpool and online.

What is DaDaFest Scratch?

Scratch is an exciting opportunity, a creative space for disabled, Deaf and neurodivergent artists to showcase the early ideas of a piece of work. It is a place for them to discover, to discuss, to develop and to explore potential next steps.

Work developed for Scratch may go on to form part of our DaDaFest International Festival next year.

Come along and try out something new! Find out more.
