Blue Room at Ten

01st December 2018 - 10th March 2019
Print by artist William Richardson of a man standing in a doorway

Exhibition runs from 1 December 2018 to 10 March 2019. Open daily 11am - 6pm.

Bluecoat’s inclusive arts project celebrates ten years of creativity with an exhibition created for the anniversary and as part of DaDaFest International.

Inspired by images from the project’s extensive photographic archive, Blue Room artists have collaborated with Louise Waller and Alice Odgers from Baltic Clay to create a collection of ceramics which reference Bluecoat potter Julia Carter Preston (1926 - 2012), exploring her sgraffito technique.

The exhibition also features screen prints created at Bluecoat Print Studio in collaboration with artist Becky Peach.

Images and films about Blue Room and Julia Carter Preston are on the My Bluecoat archive website (www.mybluecoat.org.uk).
