We are delighted to be supporting an event at the Bluecoat this March from our friend and collaborator, composer Ben Lunn. Join us for 'Footsteps Quiet in Shadow' to hear new music from Ben and the fabulous line-up he has curated:

In an era with so much music and noise, it is impossible to digest it all. Things slip through the cracks. Meanings lost, and gems vanish. This concert curated by composer Ben Lunn, features works by composers who are disastrously underrated in Britain; but also play on the metaphors of light, reality, and illusion. Juste Janulyte‘s illusions of textures and mass interplay in this self-described ‘mono-chromatic’ work. With Footsteps Quiet in Shadow inspired by the poetry of Francesca Kay, the late Peter Reynolds not only alludes to mythical creatures but also to J.S. Bach.  Justina Repeckaite’s austere string quartet uses geometry to make illusions of shape and form but never reveals a meaning.

The finale culminates in the world premiere of 'can’t you see…' for string quartet and electronics by Ben Lunn which ultimately tries to demonstrate what you see is not always what you get.
