Exhibition will run in Unity Foyer from 01 November - 08 December during building opening hours.

Jonathan Griffith is an 81 year old self-taught artist.

Griffith has always been determined to remain independent from a very young age and then 'left home' at 33 where he rented a tiny bedsit flat with a garage. There, he got friends to help make the special furniture he designed so he could be self-sufficient.

He developed his painting skills in his spare time, over many years, and this retrospective charts his work over time as his style has evolved and he has gradually lost movement.

Jonathan will give a talk about his work at Unity Theatre on 20 November at 6pm. The talk is free to attend, however booking is required.

Jonathan will also talk about his work at Chester Lane Library in St Helens on 22 November at 7pm.

Talks will include BSL and Audio Description.

In addition to his retrospective at the Unity, The Bluecoat are delighted to have on display one of his evocative paintings on the groundfloor foyer during DaDaFest International.
