We are delighted to be working with Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, funded by Children in Need, to create opportunities for young people receiving treatment in hospital as part of the DaDaFest Artist Development programme.

Young people with an interest in arts at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital will receive one to one sessions with professionals in a particular area of interest e.g. painting, drumming. This is all about developing artistic skills and practice, enabling the young people to establish their own voice and express themselves creatively.

In addition to developing artistic skills, we hope that there will be wider benefits for those involved such as increased confidence and self-belief.

The project will run for the next three years, where sessions will take place in wards and communal spaces at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.

We are also looking at involving the young people in key DaDaFest events where possible and the potential of live streaming events into the hospital for people to enjoy.
