Rosa Garland

DDFI 2022 ARTISTS

Rosa Garland is a clown, burlesque artist and theatre maker. She likes things that are slimy and sexy. She trained at Ecole Philippe Gaulier.

Programmed as part of DaDaFest International Festival 2022, Trash Salad, is her solo comedy debut, which became a cult hit at Edinburgh Fringe 2022 (she’s 70% sure she can say that).

Rosa appears as Ron in environmental drag duo Alan and Ron, who have been found at Tate Modern Lates and Camden People’s Theatre. Their show ‘Two Super Super Hot Men’ was recommended by Lyn Gardner as a VAULT Festival highlight 2020. She also works with Poltergeist collective, creating nerdy, heartfelt stories that experiment with form across a variety of media. They were named “one of the UK’s best young theatre companies” by the Guardian, and were recipients of New Diorama & Underbelly’s Untapped Award 2019, and the Samuel French New Play Award 2018.
