Lucky O. Pastor is a multifaceted literary professional whose work comprises writing, poetry, education, music, and social advocacy. He is a writer and poet, a teacher, a songwriter and singer, as well as a spoken word artist who has consistently used creative expression as a tool for social change. His professional journey is driven by a deep commitment to promoting equality, inclusion, and human dignity through the literary arts.

As an advocate for gender and disability rights, Lucky has distinguished himself through sustained and impactful engagement within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of Nigeria and beyond. In recognition of his efforts, he received an Award of Excellence in 2022 for his advocacy against gender- and disability-based violence in the FCT. This award underscores his influence as a voice for marginalized communities and his dedication to challenging systemic discrimination through education and art.

Lucky is the author of two notable books. His inspirational work, Braving the Storm, focuses on resilience, hope, and personal growth, while Applied Poetry serves as a practical literature guidebook for secondary school students, designed to demystify poetry and make it accessible, relevant, and socially conscious. Through Applied Poetry, he has made a significant contribution to secondary education by donating copies to one hundred and fifty senior secondary schools across the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria, thereby fostering literary appreciation and encouraging students to use poetry as a medium for advocacy and self-expression.

As a graduate of Education (English) from the University of Nigeria, Lucky combines strong academic training with practical classroom experience. His background as an educator informs his approach to writing, performance, and advocacy, enabling him to communicate complex social issues in ways that are engaging, age-appropriate, and impactful. Over the past six years, he has deliberately used his art—poetry, spoken word, music, and writing—as a platform to advocate for a society rooted in equality and inclusion.

In addition to his educational and literary contributions, Lucky has performed his poems on numerous stages across Nigeria, where his spoken word performances address themes of identity, justice, inclusion, and human worth. Beyond physical stages, he actively utilizes social media as an advocacy space, publishing articles and poems that amplify conversations around disability rights and social equity.

At the core of Lucky O. Pastor’s work is a firm belief in the transformative power of literary art. He envisions a society where everyone has a voice and is recognised for who they are and the impact they make. Through teaching, writing, performance, and advocacy, he continues to build pathways for dialogue, understanding, and inclusion, positioning himself as a leading voice in the intersection of literature, education, and social justice in Nigeria.
