A photograph of an old street lamp as a silhouette against a sunny blue skyAs part of DaDaFest International 2010, Young DaDa worked in partnership with National Museums Liverpool and FACT to run a one day photography workshop. Images from the workshop were used in an exhibition at the World Museum Liverpool and the Knowledge Lives Everywhere exhibition at FACT.

Each of the works presented in the exhibition were created by Disabled/Deaf young people, aged 13-19 years, from the Liverpool City Region; in response to the exhibition theme of ‘Look’.

All of the artists selected for the exhibition were nominated for the Young DaDaFest – Visual Arts Award 2010. The winner of the award was Jack Spencer.

The exhibition presented the wealth of creative talent that exists in the region and offered a tantalising insight into the next generation of Disabled/Deaf artists.

This project was funded by Liverpool Councils Children’s Fund.
