Arts-Life is a project led by DaDaFest to increase the experience and attendance of disabled and deaf people, including older people, of arts venues and events in Liverpool and Merseyside. The project has been commissioned by the Liverpool Arts Regeneration Consortium (LARC) which is a group of Liverpool’s major cultural organisations.
The purpose of the project is to identify ways of supporting disabled and d/Deaf people from across Merseyside to access the mainstream arts and cultural offer with a focus on LARC’s major cultural organisations. It was a priority to hear disabled people’s voices. The results that have emerged were unexpected and have led to the development of new recommendations.
