Edward Rushton was Liverpool’s most implacable anti-slavery Abolitionist, Human Rights Activist and pioneer for disability rights [although often overlooked by historians].
The first rehearsed reading of the whole of Unsung, a new play telling the story of this extraordinary man and the times he lived through. There will also be a discussion with the team, including writers John Graham Davies and James Quinn.
Part of Unsung, a city-wide project celebrating the bicentenary, social actions and legacy of Edward Rushton. Funded by the Heritage Lottery and led by DaDaFest as part of DaDaFest International 2014.
