DaDaFest offer Marc Brew Dance Intensive Bursaries

DaDaFest are offering part-bursaries for two disabled artists to take part in a Marc Brew Dance Intensive with Merseyside Dance Initiative.

25th Feb – 1st March 2013, 10am-4pm

The MDI Dance Intensive programme is aimed at professionals and emerging artists who wish to develop their skills whether as a performer or choreographer. The progamme invites exciting and innovative artists to share their ideas and practices.

Marc Brew Company collaborate with a range of disabled and non-disabled performers/artists to reveal the unusual and the inspiring in the everyday and mundane. This week will offer artists the opportunity to create and perform work that may challenge their own expectations and limitations, helping them to find new ways to work with their bodies.

Bionic People Workshop: Applications Open

The Bionic People workshop is two-day event (3o – 31 July) for disabled artists who use film and video in their work, as well as emerging young disabled filmmakers who want to explore and extend their work in this media.

Participants will work with award-winning filmmaker John Williams to create short films that imaginatively address issues surrounding disability, bioethics and prosthetics.
