For Nudd & Galloway DaDaFest 2012 Residency and Performance
Award-winning and critically acclaimed US writers and performers Donna Marie Nudd and Terry Galloway are holding a two week performance residency at the Bluecoat, Liverpool for this year’s DaDaFest. The workshop residency will culminate in a public performance of a staged reading called In The House Of The Moles on Friday 24 August at the Bluecoat venue with a cast of four US performers including Nudd and Galloway, and UK-based performance artists Liz Carr and Julie MacNamara.
Residency and performance description:
In the House of the Moles is a 90 minute, six-character tragedy in burlesque that explores the darker themes of disability through a comic mix of styles including vaudeville, Punch and Judy, melodrama and English music hall.
Actors description:
One disabled woman (aged 20 – 40 years)
One non-disabled woman (aged 60 – 70 years)
Availability:
Monday 13 – Thursday 23 August – daytime rehearsals including dress rehearsal on Thursday 23 August.
Friday 24 August all day and evening for the performance.
Payment:
Expenses will be paid by DaDaFest.
